BACK TO ELLIOT ROAD...alive and kicking..
After a stint of nearly two months at LHO I'm back to previous branch ie. Elliot Road.Learnt almost nothing there, though.Proximity of oly from my present branch disturbs me lot, can't help it.Same boring regular stuff at office.I can feel that I need to work hard and innovate something within the system to keep me in good shape(mental not physical, for sure).Need to do free-hand exercises to keep myself fit.Need to do a lot of stuff on regular basis actually.Though whenever I plan to do something, before starting it i go to visit an island called"Someday-I-will" and I never come back.Had a great weekend. After a long time I went to attend quiz competitions.I can remember almost two years back, one day while enjoying my daily adda sessions at contai, someone started playing a terrible game. The game was about our wishes.Given a chance, what Everyone of us would have liked to be in life. Some wanted to direct a movie, some wanted to become a great chef.I remember uttering some idiotic words.I wanted to become a Geo-traveler like Ian Right of Nat Geo fame or I wanted to host quiz shows.Boy,for a few minutes I really felt like being one.But then I understood that merely wishing for something will get me nowhere. But dreams are a dozen or few,we should always dream.Companies like Greycaps were not built in a day.Giri "pickbrain" balasubhramaniam is indeed a fab quiz master.Wow,it seems like a dream.I am fortunate to have grown up in a place like Contai where a lot of people are quiz enthusiasts .I'm lucky to have a big, like-minded friend circle.Read a quotation somewhere which goes like this,"make your passion your job, you'll never work for a single day of your life".What a great thought.Anyways,I'm hardly being realistic. But I want wrap it with what Lennon said,"You may call me a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

Spending time @LHO,BENGAL CIRCLE
It feels great to be back and writing. It may sound really funny as I feel that I'm so busy that I can't even find time to write.Actually we all are so busy that we hardly stop to see what's happening around us.That reminds me of a great quotation,"Sometimes we are so busy driving that we don't even have time to take fuel for our car. "
I feel the need to be disciplined, but can't manage.
Anyways, my story at SBI is running as slowly and quietly as possible, From RASMECCC,howrah I got posted to Elliot road branch on 5th april. It's near park street, 5 mins walking distance from Olypub or Music world. From there I went hyderabad on 1st may for two weeks for my stint as a trainee at SBIRD and SBIICM.Nice experience I had there. Then after coming back to kolkata, again I joined elliot road branch of SBI.
life was cool at Elliot road.Suddenly a few days back I received a call from L&D dept, LHO(The dept. which controls the movements of all POs and TOs in SBI) and got posted at LHO.
Now, having a great(!!!!???) time .The view of the ganges from LHO is fantastic.Very soon I'll upload a few pics of that.
Thank god, at least I'm not alone here at LHO.I'm always scared of serious people with long faces and suits and ties.My intelligent friends like Indranil da , Sneh and others help me a lot(most of the time unknowingly) to chill.

Life at SBI,Dankuni...well,what can I say?
After Contai,it's RASMECC haldia,Haldia port branch and now I have ended up at DANKuni..Man ,these days i'm truly living out of my suit case. Got very little time to blog.Still, today I'm back home and have decided to write something..It's a nice semi-town kind of place ie. Dankuni..the only problem is that no one is here to train me on Sme for which I'm here.haha.People take their life and job very easily with hardly any pressure to perform faster.Almost everyone takes things for granted which I can't so started to feel the heat a little bit.Let's see..

Is it the way it works??/
Today I'm going to write something about thinking patterns.I mean to say it has always been one of my habits ,bad or good ,is to observe people carefully. How they think ,how they react to certain situation and then learn and implement those strategies. At present in my bank, I did the same thing,I just observed and learned a lot.For that I must say I'm thankful to my colleagues in office as they helped me in every step of my work inside and outside of the branch.
it shows very clearly whether you want to achieve or not, whether you want to serve people or not and you can't hide it,no matter how clever you are.it makes the difference between a proud employee and one i-was-also-there kind of employee. It depends entirely on your thinking pattern, the way you want to see yourself down the line.Whether to play safe or not, ultimately you have to take the call. It's the survival of the fittest theory,it has always been so.But I think at present the situation is much tougher than it had been a couple of decades before, and I firmly believe that most of the people of my age group will agree with me on this.let me know bout your thinking pattern, how you react, which situation energizes you the most, let me know.Waiting for your replies..
