Is it the way it works??/

Today I'm going to write something about thinking patterns.I mean to say it has always been one of my habits ,bad or good ,is to observe people carefully. How they think ,how they react to certain situation and then learn and implement those strategies. At present in my bank, I did the same thing,I just observed and learned a lot.For that I must say I'm thankful to my colleagues in office as they helped me in every step of my work inside and outside of the branch.
it shows very clearly whether you want to achieve or not, whether you want to serve people or not and you can't hide it,no matter how clever you are.it makes the difference between a proud employee and one i-was-also-there kind of employee. It depends entirely on your thinking pattern, the way you want to see yourself down the line.Whether to play safe or not, ultimately you have to take the call. It's the survival of the fittest theory,it has always been so.But I think at present the situation is much tougher than it had been a couple of decades before, and I firmly believe that most of the people of my age group will agree with me on this.let me know bout your thinking pattern, how you react, which situation energizes you the most, let me know.Waiting for your replies..

living out of a suitcase will begin

Last few months ,to be specific two months have been great.I stayed at home,I went to work to my home branch of SBI ie. Contai branch.Even if I got up at 9 am in the morning I could still reach office by 9.50am.Haha..Now my days are counted as I'm going to join Rasmeccc branch ,Haldia on 24 th march.God knows what the hell is this Rasmeccc as I have no idea, will stay there for 4 weeks and then I will be posted to Howrah main branch for hlst/mpst training for 4 weeks. And then?/////// I don't know where I'll be posted. It seems like all the POs are going to have a great time specially those who love traveling, but reality check says something different about it.As it is very difficult to be fit all those days and again you can't take any leave during the first year of the probation period. So,if you are lucky to get nearby postings you are damn lucky and should go to some casino in kathmundu else there's a high possibility to get screwed.i don't know whether I should be happy or not, but yes,I'm curious to see the outside world.Last two months had been a great eye-opener for me and I'm looking forward to know more about all these things which will matter both in my professional and personal life.Probably that's why my motto is ,"Hope for the best,be prepared for the worst, take what comes."

SBI PO...My take on this exam..

Before I start writing anything about this prestigious exam I must confess one thing that is to succeed in an exam of this kind you need hard work and luck.In my case I believe luck helped a lot.

Last year on 12th September the 1st round of the PO exam took place..first round had four sections,a)General knowledge and computers, b) mathematics, c)Logical reasoning and d)English.50 question in each section ,1 mark each.I believe that simple R.S.Agarwal book is good enough to crack this round.Though I didn't do it.As I was preparing for CAT,that helped a lot. This round has negative marking.

I appeared for the second round of this exam on 30th November. This round had two part.Part 1 had mcq exam and in Part 2 we had to face a test on English ,pure writing skill test.
Part 1 also had four section, a)Logical Reasoning,b)Data Interpretation,c)English and
d)Marketing Knowledge.I think for data interpretation one needs to be a bit cautious, follow proper magazines/books,solve some papers if possible. In this regard I can suggest the name of magazines like Competition success review, banking chronicle etc.I personally like to read the magazine competition success review,it's a rich magazine for any competitive exam. For marketing paper there's a book available in the market. My friend Soumyadeep suggested that book. It's a book for only SBI PO Round 2 exam published by KIRAN's Publication. It's a helpful one to some extent and just by using your common sense you can score a lot in this paper.I can assure you that Round 2/Part 2 exam is much tougher that previous one.
Well, in the writing skill section I think one needs to put more stress on writing correct, both grammatical and spelling error less English.Only these two things alone can fetch you good marks plus you need to have the ability to express your views clearly.Letter writing, essay etc may come, little practice can bring you good marks. It's important to score high in this section to clear the overall cut-off for interview round.

I had my Group discussion and interview on 10th February 2009.I can tell you guys only one thing those interviewers are unthinkably experienced and exceptionally brilliant at reading your mind.Be honest .And I must say you need luck on your side.Confidence will surely sail you through this gd/pi.The result was published on 7th march,2009.So from 12th September 2008 to 7th March 2009,it's a huge test of patience and hard work and luck and a complex combination of many ifs and buts.Somehow I got through.I thank everyone for that.

Any one who wishes to take SBI PO exam ,I wish best of luck.
