sorry for not posting for so many days….this time it is going to be something about the drama

“APSARA THEATRE ER MAMLA”. Well , few days ago I was in contai, my home town.There in the contai town hall we had this beautiful play, enacted by one the veteran actors of Bengali movies SABYASACHI CHAKRABORTY AKA our very own modern FELUDA.

@ MOST OF THEM ENJOYED IT ,THE SOLD OUT NUMBER OF TICKETS PROVED THAT.

@ PEOPLE WITH TOO MUCH TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE OR SAY THE GENUINE THEATRE LOVERS DIDN’T LIKE ALL PARTS/PHASES OF THE OF DRAMA.THEY SAID THEY EXPECTED A LOT MORE THAN THAT.OVERALL ,THERE WAS A HUGE NO. OF PEOPLE PRESENT WHO WERE WATCHING A PLAY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIFE.

@ PEOPLE SAID THAT THE PERSON WHO PLAYYED THE CHARACTER OF LALMOHAN IS BETTER THAN BIBHU BHATTACHARYA.

@ TOPSE DID A GOOD JOB.SO DID SABYASACHI .

@ THE CHARACTER VIKARIMOL WAS WONDERFUL.

mY Opinion:

Technically speaking , kudos to the lights man ,who did a splendid job and I think each and every viewer will agree on this. Sound was so-so…we really can’t expect better than this in contai

atleast. This is SABYASACHI’s first directorial venture in any form of drama. Dramatist Arindam Ganguly

did a great job. The feet movement , positioning, moving at ease in a small stage like the one we have at town hall is indeed a tough job ,and credit must go to SABYASACHI for this.some changes were made in the drama as the situation demanded.This is the first time a female character was given importance in a FELUDA story and that too in a drama.Veteran actor KHEYALI DOSTIDAR played the role ,and she didi it well. We thoroughly enjoyed it,and I must say we liked the play very much. my recommendation ,go and watch it.To conclude the writing ,I must thank BULANDA {PRASUN PAHARI} for being kind enough to get me photographs of SABYASACHI AND ARINDAM taken in his mobile camera.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE FIRST MONTH OF THIS YEAR.WELL,for us ,i mean all the mess-residents it's a fun filled day.As santu da,son of our mess-owner,is celebrating his BOUVAAT,a Bengali ritual to celebrate the beginning of a happy married life.Well. i can only say that another bachelor reached his death....ha ha.Though all the pundits say that Marriage is a great institution itself.Any way .on behalf of all the mess members i wish santu da a very happy married life..

Dinner @ rs.3.,is it possible???????

In a city like kolkata, can you think you can have your dinner by just spending rs.3? Well.actually that's what I did last night.See,I stay near EM Byepass,chingrighata. Right at that road-crossing you can find some food joints operating only at the right time.Well,you can have tadka, roti, chana-batara and paneer and sabji. now,if you want to spend as low as you possibly can ,on your dinner you can go for roti -sabji.As roti you can get for rs.1 for one piece
and sabji is free.I was really unaware of this fact. So after eating 3 rotis ,when i went to pay,the owner took rs.3 from me. It was fun,as the food quality was good enough.Isn't it amazing in a metro like like kolkata you can still have your dinner spending so less amount of money?Like every one we kolkatan's also have our share of problems,but still whenever we see the smile from a street-child's face coming out after having a meal in the broad daylight or at night,it seems as if there are still things so beautiful which in a flash can make us feel happy.long live kolkata.WE PROUD TO BE KOLKATANS.
